Take the worlds smallest political quiz! Find out where you stand and you may be suprised.

My name is Arthur M. Thomas IV (My nickname is "Jack"). I am running for a Texas senate seat in the 25th District of Texas. My platform positions are Libertarian, but I encourage anyone to ask in detail about any point they would like clarified. I believe in smaller government and returning the responsibility for building a society to the people so they are free to make their own, better choices. As money and the power to make choices is returned to people then they can use it more effectively than government officials for a better world and themselves. I am not a politician (as you can tell by this website). I hope I can get more people to really learn and understand about libertarianism since there is a lot of bad information out there misleading people. Of course, LP.org (the national site) and LPTexas.org (the Texas site) are great sources of information as well.

Really the Libertarian ideas are simple. They are about about freedom. Freedom isn't a promise that all will be ok. It is not hope in other people doing what is wrong or right. It isn't faith in a political system that keeps letting people down. It is simply the power for you to decide how you want to live. It does not mean there are not failures, but it does mean that the failures are not insitutionalized by a system that keeps promising that it can prevent them. Freedom means you decide what is best for you, and the government protects your freedom — not the other way around. A good government is a solid foundation of protecting life, liberty, property, and making sure that society is able to build itself on top of that foundation. Everyone should have the power to decide how their money is invested in society. Question the issues with knowledge. Don't let the emotions of a "two party system" trap you in. Don't vote for groups, vote for good ideas. Vote for a government that supports you and that doesn't demand you support it. Take your power back!

This website is very simple since I put the information pages together myself and I am not a web developer. I encourage all visitors to view my blog to see comments on questions people have asked me and to get more detail on my platform positions. Feel free to ask me any question you have. Please get your friends and family involved in the discussion! Political discussion has become taboo these days as the two party system takes hold over peoples emotions. There are a lot of things to be passionate about, especially liberty, but we need calm and rational debate if we are to be knowledgable voting citizens. Don't let devisive politics get in the way of great ideas. Start the debate, spread the ideas and, vote for principle!

Remember that the government is not right or left as the parties would like you to believe. It is a spectrum of how much government control a state has over free citizens. Most do not want people to see things this way because you come to realize that the only real difference between the Republicans and Democrats is how they want to tell you to live. Libertarians think you should decide!
